Start of Training in Earnest

I’ve been running, sort of. The move to Philadelphia from Cleveland put a halt to my running regimen, such as it was. I was running a couple or few times per week, generally about 5K per run. Toward the middle of June I was extending out to running an hour, which I would guess would be about 5.5 miles. I’ve run a little while here in Philly…30-35 minutes at an even 9:45 pace. Slow, but I feel pretty good at the ends of these little runs. Tomorrow I think I’ll start training in earnest. I have the time since the move tasks are winding down. I have no idea which training routine I’ll try…I’ll look on line and see what’s out there. My greatest fear is that I’ll lose motivation after a couple of weeks.

Hi, I just joined the Sweat365 community

I’m a man from Philadelphia PA USA, born in 1969.

My goals are: Finish the Philly half marathon in a respectable time

My other favorite activities include: boxing.
